Summertime is Here! (Life Updates + Announcements)

Hi friends! I don’t usually post on Sundays, but today I was in the mood for just a chat between blog friends. :) I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and soaking up the sunshine, hanging out with your dad and eating some yummy food!

My weekend has been pretty chill, but it was a much-needed time to relax and unwind. I spent Saturday shopping with my mom and I actually found some cute things! Shopping has been a struggle for me for some reason, lately! I also found some things for upcoming blog projects, which is exciting. I then spent the afternoon reading Born to Run, taking a nap and then going for a run on my favorite trail just up the road from my house. It was good to do something new!

Life Updates June: Food & Running
There’s a lot of new things in my life lately, too. I want to give you guys a few updates and I also have some quick announcements! Let’s do this, bullet-style!

I started my 9-5 job this past week! And that’s why I am so excited for this weekend. A Friday night bubble bath followed by Netflix was the perfect way to unwind. Because I came from being part-time at college and then having a couple weeks off from school and work, jumping into a full-time job is a transition, and I’m hoping to get used to it soon! So far, there are both exciting and not-so exciting things about work, which is probably the norm!  I am working as a Project Manager for a small nonprofit in the area, so there are a lot things that come along with that! I’m excited to jump in! That’s the biggest life update. And while I still do have some free time to blog and I want to continue growing this place on the interwebs, I will see how balancing blogging and working will be. I’m still super excited to bring you all epic content.

This week is Spain travel week! Speaking of epic content, I have prepared a week’s worth of ultimate travel guides for Sevilla, Spain to share with you all. I have been wanted to share a Sevilla travel guide for awhile, but then I realized I have so much to say about it, I need more than one post! So this week is Spain week! While not all of you may visit Spain, I hope this inspires your wanderlust and your adventurous side! Coming up next, I have some exciting collabs, blog resources and summer posts I think you’ll enjoy!

I’m trying new vegan recipes and restaurants! I’m also contemplating starting a food/healthy living blog. But that is not even a real idea yet. But let me know if you’d be interested in something like that! So far this week, I made vegan pizza (it was incredible) and coconut curry rice. I also found my favorite pasta sauce ever and tried a new restaurant right by my work. Food this week has been on point.

I finished Love, Skip, Jump! As I mentioned in my previous life updates, I was reading Love, Skip, Jump by Shelene Bryan. It was amazing. After letting it all sink in for a couple weeks, my main takeaway is that we can say yes to even the big things. We can say yes to God. And we can skip some things in our life to give to others. It’s hard to live this out, yes. But I’ve found I’ve been finding small ways to work this mindset into everyday living—focusing on giving.

Now a question for you: Do you all have any specific post requests? I think it’s so important for bloggers to be consistently reaching out to their audience for questions. I would love to know what you guys like to read and if you have any questions about blogging, creativity, design, travel, post-grad life or anything else! Let me know in the comments!

Wishing you all a whimsical, colorful weekend full of surprises!
