When we were getting lost in a grand nature preserve in Hilton Head, we stumbled upon a field of wildflowers. It was an unexpected, beautiful gift. It’s something out of a dream.
As we looked at them all, each one its own color, shape and personality, a huge sense of peace came over me.
It is because we sometimes life gives us wildflowers. These flowers can grow in the most random, desolate areas of life, when we least expect them to. Hopefulness can stem from cloudy days–rainy years. Just at the perfect moment.
“Like wildflowers; You must you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.” – E.V.
Even though they bend in the breeze, wildflowers still bloom like they are meant to be. They are wild, vibrant and free. Just like you and me.
You see, we may be surrounded by unknown places and things, but we contain infinite amounts of vibrancy. Our souls beam from the inside out–we have the energy to bring color to the world. We can pick up our paintbrush or our computer and display our spirit to others. We can lace up our shoes and go for a walk, going where the path takes us. We can bloom with intention, with power and with a sense of sparkle.
In all the magic we bring forth into our lives, we still remain grounded in truth, heart and soul. It keeps us alive and going. It gives us purpose and it calls us forth. Soaking up the nutrients of goodness and kindness, our roots grow stronger.
Find your inner wildflower. It’s the place where you soul dances in pure excitement and joy for the work you will do, now and in the future. It is where you find your deepest sense of freedom, and where it matches a deep need in the world. You belong among the wildflowers, sweet dreamer, you. Keep believing and keep growing.
