Hi guys! I know I have so much to catch you guys up with, but I wanted to start off with some of some music I’ve been loving lately.
Fall has always been my season for new, awesome music.
I’ve been connecting to some songs and finding artists that have beautiful lyrics and music. Overall, I’ve been loving some country, singer/songwriter, alternative and some worship songs.
One of my favorite things is driving down here in North Carolina singing to some country music.
Country music has been good for my soul this week. It always makes me happy! I’ve been especially loving this song: “A Little Bit of Everything” by Keith Urban.
Other country favorites are: Tim McGraw’s “Night Train,” many songs from Jason Aldean and “Hey Girl” by Billy Currington. Basically, I’m loving today’s top country songs and my radio is always on a country station driving to work and running errands.
Another country song I rediscovered is “Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw. Such a good, classic one.
I have also been loving One Republic, especially their songs “Counting Stars” and “Preacher.”
Then, a month ago, I discovered two Christian bands that are awesome: Anthem Lights and The Afters. Thank you, Pandora.
I have been replaying “Light Up the Sky” so many times this past month. And I just watched the music video, which was powerful.
Anthem Lights does many covers but also has some awesome worship songs like “Fight Forever” and “Outta My Mind,” which can sound like mainstream music. Their “Best of 2012 Pop Mash-Up” is also fantastic.
These songs (plus more!) will be the perfect complement to hearing leaves crunch under my feet this fall.
