Good early, early morning, friends!
I am blogging while taking Amtrak to NYC for a conference! Whoop, whoop! This is my first time going to NYC, so if you have any suggestions, tweet them my way (@GinaAlyse) and I will be able to get them while I’m there.
The conference starts today and my travel started when my alarm went off at 4 a.m. I caught a 6 a.m. train headed North and decided to sleep for a little bit. Then, I got way too caught up in watching the trees, places, cars, buildings and people outside my window, so I decided to wake up a little bit to write a life update for you guys. So here’s all about life lately in bullet point form.
1. I’m off to New York! Wait, I already said that one hehe. But I will write more about NYC when I get back on Tuesday.
2. Thank all of you who submitted links for my Everything College Blog Hop. You can still link-up all this week, so if you’ve written about college, this link-up is for you! Also, my Campus, Class, Career OH MY! College series will continue next week with a few more college posts and back to school posts. They won’t be everyday, but I have a couple in the works for you all.
3. I am now an official licensed driver! I got my license in the mail last Friday after passing the road test last Monday. It feels so good. And so weird. I have yet to drive alone (still waiting to be put on the insurance and everything), but I’m excited that I can ride solo soon.
4. I have applied to go to Spain next spring semester! The first application is done and now there just one more left to go. It was really scary to press the submit button, but I finally did! Now, I have to wait for my study abroad advisor to submit information and then I should find out my status relevantly soon. To read more about choosing to go to Spain, you can read this post from last week.
Besides those few things, I had my last day of work this past Friday and I started catching up on my internship work yesterday. I also bought a few textbooks for this upcoming semester.
So I should be in NYC in about 45 minutes, so I hope you guys have a great Sunday!
