I’m getting a little creative on the blog today with the Something New blog challenge, hosted by Annaliese at Southern Belle in Training. I’m going to be mixing two of my favorite prints, floral and chevron for my first craft of the summer!
I wanted to try a Pinterest craft this summer and I was really inspired by this magazine one. It looked very easy and simple. Here are the results and what I did!
What you’ll need:
- Blank canvas
- Magazine strips or left over floral calendars
How to Make It:
Cut out strips of floral calendar pages (old calendars are one of my craft must-haves!) and make sure the sizes were similar with a ruler. Then create a rough pattern and begin gluing them to the canvas. I used a glue stick, but I think I need to re-do some pieces with better glue. You can’t really tell if it’s hanging on a wall, though!
Have you guys ever made art on a canvas before? What are your favorite Pinterest crafts? There’s dozens of them and I’m so glad I tried one on my Get Crafty board. I hope you all are having a stellar weekend so far and don’t forget to check out the other bloggers participating in this challenge: Jessica, Elle, Jenna, Annaliese and Michaela!
