I love shopping at Wegman’s, which is a grocery store in Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. They have a lot of organic and healthy products along with awesome produce. You can also go in and sit down to have lunch or dinner, even!
So this past week, I stopped in briefly with my mom, so I thought I would show you a few things I picked up. Like Nikki Phillippi calls them, “healthy junk food” is always good to have on-the-go or for road trips or when you’re craving something specific like chips or popcorn.
Here’s a couple things I found. I wanted to try some of Kashi’s snack bars and then I found this popcorn made with chia seed, which is becoming a very popular health food for 2013!
So far, I’ve tried the Peanutty Dark Chocolate bars, and they were delicious–the perfect snack for on-the-go and I can see myself eating these on the way to class or between classes as well. It’s a great alternative to grabbing a candy bar or another sweet dessert. I’m very excited to try the banana ones as they are made with real fruits and veggies. There’s a touch of pumpkin in with the dark chocolate they use. I’m really liking the Kashi brand for my cereal, so expanding into snack bars was probably going to happen naturally for me!
