After watching several documentaries on food and health, I have started to become a little bit more aware of nutrition and food. So, this summer, I want to start finding ways to easily incorporate more healthy foods into my diet and find alternatives to junk food.
I discovered this snack this week and I’m loving it! I heard about blue corn chips through Nikki Phillippi, and I thought I would try them with one of my favorite salsas!
For me, I love the crunch of the chips combined with the fruity salsa. I think it’s such a fun and summery afternoon snack. Although my brother says the chips taste like plastic (I disagree), the crunch is satisfying and it’s good to know that you’re not putting a lot of bad things into your body. The chips have 0g of sugar, while the salsa has 5g of sugar per serving. Let me know if you have other questions about nutritional facts (I just might turn into a healthy food blogger, perhaps!)
What are your healthy go-to snacks? Or do you all have any fun, healthy recipes you make for lunch or dinner? I’m so excited to use my extra summer time to learn some recipes so I can make them in my apartment’s kitchen next year!
