I’ve been on a working out kick for the past two weeks, and I wanted to share some of my workout tips for you guys today!
Staying fit in college is something easy and hard to do at the same time. I’m going to tell you right now, it takes planning, time management and motivation–especially if you have a simply chaotic schedule like me. But I still find some time to get in a little workout!
So without further adieu, here’s my tips on staying in shape!
2. Bring a yoga mat to school. Dorm room floors are not the best, to say the least. Even if they’re carpeted or if you buy a carpet for your room. When I went on runs, I always wanted to stretch when I got back, so having a yoga mat made stretching more feasible for me.
3. Bring weights, sport equipment, and other exercise equipment! I found out that if I have things like weights right in my room, I will use them more often. I brought 3-5lb weights which I use for some ab and arm exercises. Also, bringing sport equipment is helpful too if you want to get together with friends. I’m talking like volleyballs, basketballs, and other things like that! You may be able to rent them at your school, but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared and having items like these is more convenient sometimes.
4. Switch up your workout routine. I try to workout every other day, and so far I’ve been successful. But switching up your routine makes working out more exciting and it helps me keep up my motivation. Go to an exercise class one day, go for a run another day, or hit up the gym. I tend to go for runs around campus the most, and switching out your route helps too.
